Taghum Hall has sat peacefully overlooking the shores of the Kootenay river for 70 years. In that time, the hall has become a cultural cornerstone of the Tugham area west of Nelson, BC – originally serving as a place of worship for the Doukhobor community, then evolving into an important venue for weddings, funerals, meetings, dinners, and dances.

First Light’s IPL Luminaires, mounted on locally-sourced custom colored red poles, provide illumination for the hall’s pathways and playground. These new lights will help the community enjoy the hall’s volunteer-run events, even as the events go into the evening hours.
