Situated along the beautiful harbor of Victoria, BC (our home base) sits the neighborhood of Victoria West. This area of Victoria is a vibrant mix of both industrial and residential buildings.
The famous Galloping Goose trail passes through this neighborhood and spans a whopping 37 miles. The trail connects multiple parts of greater Victoria, and one section in Victoria West is popular for commuters heading in and out of Victoria’s downtown area.
A busy intersection formerly lit by a solar light was left in the dark, reducing safety and increasing the odds of collisions. The city of Victoria opted to replace the failed light with an SCL2 Series solar luminaire that now keeps the area brightly lit, improving the safety of trail users early in the morning and well into the evening.
